Analysis of the operating skills of Vickers hardness tester

1. Turn on the power of the Vickers hardness tester, rotate the test force change handwheel, and select the test force.
2. The display screen displays the MODEL and NOT-COV menus, Model has HV HK two testing methods, the Vickers hardness tester moves the selection table with the direction key. Table 1 is suitable for non-ferrous metals, and Table 2 is suitable for black metals. Press the Enter key to confirm, and the conversion table will pop up on the main screen. Press the Enter key to confirm, and the main screen status will display the selected hardness value conversion scale.
3. Press the directional key to pop up the DWELL load holding time menu and select the loading time.
4. Press the arrow keys to pop up the FUSION menu. Option Single, press the Enter key to confirm, and the hardness tester will start working.
5. Rotate the pressure head and objective lens conversion cover to position the 10 x objective lens directly in front of the main body.
6. Rotate the lifting screw to raise the test bench until the surface of the sample is clearly imaged. If the image observed by the Vickers hardness tester is blurry in the eyepiece, the front lens of the eyepiece can be rotated until it is clear.
7. Rotate the conversion cover to position the indenter in front of the main body, press the panel START button, and the Vickers hardness tester will start loading, holding, and unloading.
8. Rotate the conversion cover to position the 10 x objective lens directly in front of the main body, and observe the indentation imaging in the eyepiece.
9. Move the reticle of the eyepiece to gradually bring it closer. When the inner side of the reticle is infinitely close and the inner side of the two reticles is in a critical state without light gap, press the CLR button on the panel. At this point, the value of d1 on the main screen is zero.
10. Move the right hand wheel to separate the scoring lines, move the left drum wheel of the eyepiece to make the left scoring line tangent to the intersection point of the indentation on the left side, move the inner side of the right scoring line tangent to the intersection point of the indentation on the left side, press the measurement button on the eyepiece, and the diagonal d1 measurement is completed. Rotate the eyepiece 90 degrees to measure the diagonal d2. Press the measurement button, and the main screen will display the measured value and the converted hardness value. End of one experiment.
If it is believed that there is an error in the measurement, the above procedure can be repeated for another measurement.
