LABTT Fully Automatic Metallographic Grinding and Polishing System: Intelligent Disc Changing, One-Touch Completion of the Entire Process!
2026-01-27
In modern materials science and industrial inspection, the quality of metallographic specimen preparation directly impacts the accuracy of analytical results. Traditional manual grinding and polishing processes are tedious, inefficient, and susceptible to human factors. The LABTT iAPS-9000 fully automatic metallographic grinding and polishing system integrates automation and intelligence, delivering an efficient, stable, and convenient experience for grinding and polishing preparation.

Integrated Design, Fully Automated Operation
The iAPS-9000 adopts an integrated design, combining grinding and polishing stations, cleaning and drying stations, and automatic loading/unloading of samples into a single system. Through intelligent program control, the system automatically completes the entire process—from sample loading, multi-step grinding and polishing, cleaning and drying, to final unloading—without manual intervention. This not only significantly improves work efficiency but also avoids process fluctuations caused by human intervention.
Additionally, the number of stations and specific functions of the system can be customized to precisely meet the diverse preparation needs of users.

Automatic Disc Changing, Supports Batch Processing
The LABTT metallographic grinding and polishing system comes standard with the capability to process 6 samples simultaneously, with an optional expansion to 8 samples, enabling efficient batch preparation. The equipped disc-changing rack can accommodate 9 types (customizable in quantity) of different grinding and polishing media, compatible with diamond discs, various sandpapers, and polishing cloths, easily meeting diverse process requirements from coarse grinding to fine polishing.
In terms of pressure application, the iAPS-9000 offers independent pressure for single samples, overall pressure for the sample disc, or a hybrid mode combining both (optional). This design ensures the system can flexibly handle the preparation requirements of materials with different hardness levels and shapes, achieving precise process adaptation.

Intelligent Control, Stable and Reliable Results
The core advantage of the iAPS-9000 lies in its intelligent process control capabilities. All critical process parameters, including grinding/polishing disc speed, time, rotation direction, coolant/polishing fluid supply, etc., can be flexibly set, archived, and managed via the software interface, supporting one-touch calling for precise process reproduction and efficient management.
The system features three operation modes: fully automatic program mode, material preset mode, and manual mode, catering to various grinding and polishing scenarios.

Powerful Performance and Precise Auxiliary Units
Equipped with a high-power motor, the system delivers large and constant torque output, ensuring stable and efficient grinding and polishing force at any speed. The grinding and polishing disc speed range of 5–1500 rpm covers process requirements from coarse grinding to fine polishing, with the capability to achieve an emergency stop within 2 seconds.
The integrated liquid dispensing unit supports 4 types (customizable in quantity) of polishing liquids, enabling precise and automatic addition of polishing media. The independent cleaning and drying station includes 6 water spray nozzles and air blow nozzles, followed by automatic alcohol spraying and drying after cleaning, significantly improving sample surface cleanliness and drying effectiveness.
The LABTT iAPS-9000 fully automatic metallographic grinding and polishing system is not only a solution that drives metallographic preparation toward standardization and batch production but also an ideal choice for material analysis laboratories and industrial quality control fields.
