Extend the life of your cutting machine by 3-5 years!
2025-06-19

The cutting machine is an important equipment for sample preparation, but long-term high-load operation will inevitably cause wear and tear. In fact, just spend 10 minutes a day to do these 4 steps of maintenance, you can greatly reduce the failure rate and easily extend the life of the equipment by 3-5 years!
Step 1: Clean the cutting area
Metal chips and coolant residue are the "invisible killers" of the equipment!
Operation points:
Immediately after stopping the machine, clean the cutting disc, fixture and workbench with a soft cloth or brush to avoid hardening of chips.
Focus on cleaning the gaps between the guide rails and the slide rails (vacuum cleaner can be used to assist) to prevent jamming and loss of accuracy.
Step 2: Cooling system maintenance
Insufficient or contaminated coolant will directly damage the spindle and cutting disc!
Operation points:
Check that the liquid level is not lower than the mark line and replenish pure coolant in time.
Clean the filter screen and empty the waste tank every week (metal powder deposition will corrode the pipeline).
Step 3: Check the status of the cutting disc
90% of the cutting disc breaks are caused by daily negligence!
Operation points:
Check whether the surface is adhered to aluminum chips, resin, etc. (clean with special cleaner or hard brush).
If cracks, gaps or deformations are found, they must be replaced immediately!
Step 4: Lubricate key components
Lack of oil in the guide rails and lead screws will accelerate wear and double the maintenance cost!
Key points of operation:
Use high temperature resistant grease and apply a small amount to the guide rail and lead screw.
Move the slide manually 2-3 times to ensure even lubrication.
