LABTT sponsored! China University Student Failure Analysis Competition (Shanghai Division) concluded successfully

On July 3, 2025, the 2025 China Undergraduate Mechanical Engineering Innovation and Creativity Competition - Failure Analysis Competition Shanghai Division was successfully concluded at Fudan University. The event was sponsored by LABTT and attracted 78 elite teams from various universities to compete on the same field, presenting a wonderful feast of engineering practice.
This competition aims to improve the professional quality of professionals in materials, machinery and other related fields through competition, and promote in-depth exchanges between universities and enterprises. The person in charge of the competition said that failure analysis is an important part of ensuring industrial safety, and cultivating professional talents with practical ability is of great significance to promoting the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry.
At the opening ceremony of the competition, Mr. Zhang Liqiu, the first failure analysis expert of the Chinese Society of Mechanical Engineers and the founder of LABTT, was invited to deliver an important speech.
As a senior expert in the field of material testing, Mr. Zhang pointed out that failure analysis is an important cornerstone for ensuring industrial safety. LABTT has always adhered to the concept of "technology empowering industry" and helped cultivate compound engineering and technical talents with solid theoretical foundation and outstanding practical ability by building a collaborative innovation platform for industry, academia and research.
In his speech, Mr. Zhang specially shared LABTT’s latest breakthroughs in the field of intelligent testing. Our independently developed unmanned metallographic sample preparation laboratory and unmanned hardness testing system have led to the leapfrog development of the industry, significantly improved the efficiency and accuracy of material testing, and won unanimous recognition and high praise from the experts present.
The successful holding of this competition is a concrete practice to implement the requirements of the national innovation and entrepreneurship education reform, and also provides a model for the collaborative education between universities and enterprises. In the future, LABTT will continue to deepen its cooperation with universities, cultivate students' innovative awareness and practical ability, build a platform for enterprises to select outstanding talents, and achieve a win-win situation for all parties.
