Joint innovation bears fruit: LABTT and Shanghai University (Zhejiang) Materials Research Institute's collaborative paper wins the Outstanding Paper Award at the Nonferrous Metals Annual Conference
2025-08-04

The 15th Annual Academic Conference of the China Nonferrous Metals Society was recently successfully held in a warm atmosphere. As a comprehensive academic event in the nonferrous metals field, this year's conference focused on the forefront of the industry, comprehensively showcasing the latest developments and achievements across the entire nonferrous metals industry chain, and in-depth discussions on the challenges and opportunities facing resource development and comprehensive utilization, new materials processing and equipment manufacturing, energy conservation and emission reduction, environmental protection, and information technology and intelligentization.
At this year's annual meeting, the collaborative achievements of LABTT and the Shanghai University (Zhejiang) Institute of Advanced Equipment Basic Materials (hereinafter referred to as "Shangshan Institute") attracted much attention. Since its establishment, the "Materials Testing Joint Laboratory" jointly established by the two parties has been committed to the research and development and innovation of new nonferrous metal materials and basic materials for advanced equipment. Through the deep integration of industry, academia, and research, it has achieved numerous breakthroughs.
Mr. Zhang Liqiu, founder of LABTT, was invited to attend the annual meeting and co-presented an academic paper, "Design and Practice of Intelligent Unmanned Inspection Technology for Metal Materials," with Professor Xu Jing of Shangshan Institute and other experts and scholars. The paper, for its innovation and practicality, was selected for the Outstanding Paper Program of the 15th Annual Academic Conference of the China Nonferrous Metals Society, demonstrating the scientific research strength and industry influence of the collaboration.
In his thesis keynote speech, Mr. Zhang Liqiu, founder of LABTT, shared in depth the latest research results of LABTT and Shangshan Institute - an integrated solution for intelligent unmanned inspection, which directly addresses the pain points of the traditional metal material inspection industry and promotes the upgrade of metal material inspection technology to automation and intelligence.
LABTT's general manager, Zhang, systematically introduced the company's fully automated sample preparation system, intelligent microscopic inspection system, and intelligent unmanned hardness testing system. This technology, through core modules such as automated sample preparation, AI image recognition, and intelligent data analysis, enables a fully unmanned testing process, significantly improving both efficiency and accuracy. This technology has been successfully validated in real-world industrial scenarios, setting a new benchmark for materials testing.
